Hi, I’m Allison
It’s so nice to meet you, I’m so glad you found me!
I am the sole owner and operator of AP Artistry (formerly known as River Glow). I am 26 years old and have been in the beauty and wedding industry since 2016. I attended Stewart’s School in Sioux Falls for Esthetics, and graduated as a Licensed Esthetician in 2018.
I currently reside in Central South Dakota, but I am originally from the South-Eastern area of the state. I moved here in 2021 to be closer to my then-boyfriend, now-husband, Jace. It’s been a big adjustment moving from 15 minutes from Sioux Falls to 1.5 hours away, but I’m learning to love my life in the “middle of no where” ;)
It has taken me years to get my business and brand where it is now, but the journey has been more than worth it. I originally went to Stewart's to pursue cosmetology, but my heart has always belonged to makeup & skincare.
I always say that skincare is my hobby, and makeup is my passion. I have loved makeup since I was in high school. I remember my senior year I would take my entire makeup bag and mirror to class. I would sit and watch YouTube makeup tutorials and recreate the look, instead of working on my dual-credit courses (and somehow I still passed all of them). I loved doing my own, and helping my friends out with makeup for proms & formals. I had absolutely no idea that it would someday launch me into the bridal industry. I was asked to do my first wedding in 2016, shortly after I graduated high school. I fell in love with this "job" instantly, and never looked back. I never thought that saying yes to that bride, would have put me where I am today.
Of course I'm trying to make a long story short, but that rarely works with me. I can't wait to tell you more and hear all about you when we meet!
